PPE and Cleaning
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Our Saviour Early Childhood (OSEC) has made a large investment acquiring PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) so we can be ready for the fall. Our goal is to ensure the health and safety of our staff, students, and their families. What affects one of us could affect all of us, so it is important that we do all we can to support one another.
This includes:
KN-95 masks and surgical masks, three layers, for all staff**(The CDC, DOE, and DOHMH have not supplied schools with a policy about face masks for students but will update this page as information is shared. Face masks for staff are required for any close contact with students and their families.)
Hand-washing stations at every entrance and in every classroom (automatic hand sanitizer dispensers)
New Honeywell Air Purifiers in each classroom to help with the normal spread of germs.
(Air purifiers do not stop COVID-19 transmission but they help.)Face shields and cover-all gowns for all staff if a case is found in our school.
Latex-free gloves for all staff.
Two infrared thermometers in each classroom, two at each entrance and one in each school office.
Three electrostatic sprayers for disinfecting large areas quickly and thoroughly.
Three bottles of bleach spray cleaning solution to clean up after students.
Disinfecting wipes (Clorox)
Daily Cleaning Schedule
All cleaning will be done using cleaning and disinfectant agents from the CDC accepted list, which includes products such as bleach solutions and Clorox wipes.
Cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, and toys, will occur regularly throughout the day.
Hand-washing of both students and staff will occur regularly throughout the day.
Deep cleanings will take place nightly.
